"Heroes" ha fascino e potere suggestivo! La vena artistica prende forma in un album drammatico "Heroes", registrato a Berlino e uscito il 14 ott 1977. La gelida Brelino fa da sfondo all'album come un'ideale tela dello psicodramma curativo di Bowie (E'stata la mia clinica"), ma anche come metafora del suo insopprimibile senso d'angoscia e di alienazione. Ciò che prevale è la capacità di questa musica, fatta di suoni distorti, spogli ed espressionisti, di saper mostrare certe ferite della modernità, trasmettendo così indelebili ed inquietanti emozioni, a sua volta ferendoci nell’animo. L'album è un'inebriante allucinazione, tra onirismi, sonorità ambient, sintetizzatori e vibrazioni visionarie che lascia però trapelare qua e là anche qualche raggio di luce.La voce di Bowie taglia il disco in profondità come una lama, supportata da chitarre altrettanto lancinanti e da raggelanti esplosioni di synth. Un clima surreale, dunque, che sembra quasi voler distrarre l'ascoltatore dall'arrivo di quell'uragano di emozioni che è la title track: "Heroes" uno dei saggi più illuminanti del melodismo bowiano. La voce del "Duca Bianco" raggiunge vette d'intensità straziante. E' il grido disperato dell'ultimo romantico sulla Terra che, tra le macerie di un mondo in sfacelo, implora la sua donna di non andarsene, di non scegliere la via d'uscita più facile, perché "We can be heroes, just for one day"... Lo sfondo è il Muro di Berlino, ostacolo tra i due amanti e monumento all'Europa disgregata dalla Guerra Fredda. Con "Heroes" il disco raggiunge il suo climax emotivo, lo si deduce anche dalla successiva "Sons Of The Silent Age": una ballata struggente, gonfia di disperata malinconia.

La canzone è del '75, apre e chiude uno degli album più "impegnati" della storia, e dal punto di vista dei testi e della musica stessa. Impegnativo anche l'ascolto...ma ogni umore vuole melodie differenti.

Nota al video This love

"This Love" ha lanciato i Maroon 5 nel 2002. Il video ha dei colori bellissimi, sequenze rapide ed azzeccate dissolvenze..Ma ciò che allora catturò particolamente la mia attenzione fu la verve del cantante/chitarrista, un'assoluta icona di stile. Non c'è che dire....Bello Bello Bello: felpetta, jeans calato con una cintura poco funzionale, ma soprattutto le Tiger(la scarpa più fica in quegl'anni)...insomma amore a prima vista!!!ed univoco s'intende...In seconda battuta ho avuto modo di ascoltarne anche la voce, particolare, molto dolce e dalle buone corde.
Sono passati 5 anni da allora e con il nuovo album Adam si presenta con un look molto più elegante: non più felpe e polo(altro capo essenziale nel guardaroba maschile..se Lacoste è meglio), ma camicia e giacca; non più pantaloni larghi, ma aderentissimi, non più scarpe casual, ma scarpino...un figurino insomma. Il ragazzo è evidentemente andato anche in palestra...(lo preferivo 7 kg di muscoli in meno...ma va benissimo uguale).Un cambiamento necessario in cui ha dimostrato tutto il suo stile...Quello rimane sempre!

Piccola nota personale al video: non vorrei soffermarmi sul contenuto perchè ogni commento è chiaramente opinabile, vista la complessità dell'argomento cui si riferisce.
Ciò su cui mi va di richiamare l'attenzione è Il "Mezzo": questo video è segno dell'"autorappresentazione", espressione del giornalismo post-moderno che sta progressivamente scalzando il vecchio modello stantio "dalle suole logore". Quest'ultimo reca necessariamente i segni di un soggettivismo che i nuovi mezzi stanno sostituendo con una "fattualità espressiva". Non so se sia meglio o peggio...anch'io mi limito a pubblicare fatti!!!!!
